The KNUST North American Alumni Association - DC Chapter is made up of members in  the Washington - District of Columbia, Maryland and Virginia regions.

Our members are former students, faculty and associates of the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology who reside in the United States of America and Canada.

Our main mission is to remain connected to our alma mater and improve on the networking of our members. The strength of our organization is only at par with the commitment of individual members and we implore members and prospective members to sign up and stay involved with our activities.

By our unique positions we can offer expertise, monetary commitments and other talents to improve the outlook for all graduates who leave the campus of our university.

"The change we seek is the change within us."

Remember there is greater joy in giving rather than receiving.

The statistics is daunting but with greater participation we can achieve much more. The DC Metro area has more than 350 working professionals who trace their roots to KNUST. We currently have less than 80 active members and this must change. Alumni association is all about networking and we should strive to help each other in all aspects.

Always consider to volunteer your time and effort to any aspect of this Alumni Orgainization. Our strength is based on the involvement of our members and all help is welcome.

2011 is an Action year with many activities planned, make an effort to improve on your involvement in the chapter activities. Don't hesitate to contact any of the current executives to ask how you can help.
